Snow Day

Did you hear about all the bad weather that hit the east coast last night? Result: Much shoveling and many children home from school, and enjoying the violence that snow always seems to engender in them. There is no sound to this video, but sound is hardly necessary.

Disclaimer: People should not allow their overheated children to play in winter storms without proper attire. Even if the child is only a few feet from his front porch, on which he just jettisoned his coat after a vigorous snowfight, even if he looks tough, like a small lumberjack, even if he is generally impervious to cold and wants to be photographed without his winter coat, proper attire should be required.

Very good disclaimer. They look like they're having fun.

And please, oh please, do NOT send any of that snow our way. We've had enough, thank you...

People should not allow it, but that presupposes that our children listen to us. As they say in the courtroom, "Objection. Based on facts not in evidence."

Cheers.

I'm sitting here laughing. Great video!! Kids never need all the clothes that grownups think they do. Remember in A Christmas Story when the little boy falls down and can't get up because of his snowsuit? :<)

Hey all. Thanks for swinging by. They did have fun on that snow day. So did I, despite the fact that my husband locked the good, ergonomic snow shovel in the barn along with our wee electric snow blower (I call her little Nell). I had to shovel with a leaden misshapen thing that could be called the opposite of ergonomic. Nan, we are huge Christmas story fans here. I remember that scene well. Swollen up like a tick, as I recall that scene.

Lovely video - won't show it to my kids, though - they will be too jealous for words!
