So far they haven't made a peep. Well, OK, they do peep, but not loud.

Hi June - Always nice to have a new commenter. The chicks are moving into adoloescence. Funny how gawky and awful that makes them. So far so good with the chicken tractor. Since we have no mature chickens we have not had a problem with competition.

Madame D. - Mom is gone now (which is why I am back around here). The visit was fine. Your question about "proper writing" is a good one and thanks for asking. I read an article in the New Yorker last week about creative writing programs written by Louis Menand - it includes this line:

"The workshop is a process, an unscripted performance space, a regime for forcing people to do two things that are fundamentally contrary to human nature: actually write stuff (as opposed to planning to write stuff very, very soon)[...]"

Oh dear. Still lots of (mental) planning.

Mrs. Uhdd. Any nice comment from you about one of my poor pictures goes straight to my head. It's like winning a prize.Kim Velkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06729808121762572706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10709507.post-58224839852877103242009-06-26T14:06:11.631-04:002009-06-26T14:06:11.631-04:00Love the perspective of small girl V big rock!Love the perspective of small girl V big rock!uphilldowndalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15426833972060254592noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10709507.post-21299472422425818152009-06-24T17:41:56.323-04:002009-06-24T17:41:56.323-04:00Oh, now I'm so envious of you (and your mother...Oh, now I'm so envious of you (and your mother - eating ice-cream, huh)

It all looks lovely. So we need two tractors.

Beautiful shots of New England!
